Interested in bio-cultural interactions specifically in the context of human social behaviour. Currently working to deduce the possible impact of variations in different facets of sociality under individualism-collectivism paradigm and its impact on mental health. A national level Archery player having represented the university team at national level events |
The intent behind starting the club was to integrate biological and social Anthropology along with other disciplines in order to substantiate the
bio-cultural nature of anthropological research. We seek discussions and presentations on contemporary issues in anthropology. |
A platform for the students to study, understand and explore the different areas of research.
The search for the ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and share ideas to widen the scope
by not limiting ourselves to one facet of the study.
Graduate club was a way of assessing our work through peer review and
an escape from class room assignments
The idea behind the initiative was to encourage academic exchange and dialogue at an interdisciplinary level, focusing on the graduate and undergraduate students.
The Graduate Club was conceived as a tool to involve students from across the different disciplines to experience and explore newer intersecting arenas of interest
in academia, with the hope of also honouring the bio-cultural focus of anthropology.
Are you in a whirlwind of ideas and concepts and feeling like thinking out load? Okay so you feel like sitting down with a group of people and delve
into the studies of human beings. You think you have thought the way nobody did before. But you don’t know where, when, how? The Graduate Club has no bars and you are the person we are looking to
come and join us. So let’s learn and discover together the elixir of ‘being human’ as it has been and might be.

I always had a huge area of interest that developed into specifically human evolution and genetics throughout later years in school and higher education. Palaeoanthropology and development of cognitive functions in humans define my research interest though I find political and psychological anthropology equally intoxicating. I also wish to work in the paradigm of evolutionary psychology to understand origin and diversity of group formation in humans and in the greater scale – primates. Almost four years of living and breathing anthropology has built up the interest and courage in me to study the biological, environmental including cultural factors shaping up the variations in human populations. |
I have been actively participating in co-curricular activities like debates, quiz and painting since my school days.
